Microenterprise Project Partner Named Winner of NYCEDC's Competition THRIVE

In January 2015, the New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) named the South Bronx Overall Economic Development Corporation (SoBRO) winner of this year's Competition THRIVE - a citywide competition that identifies and funds innovative projects that support immigrant entrepreneurs. As grand prize winner, SoBRO was granted $100,000 to further develop the United Business Cooperative - a cooperative for immigrant restaurant owners in the South Bronx that was formed with the pro bono support of White & Case LLP through VOLS' Microenterprise Project.
