Upcoming training on protections for consumers related to fraudulent debit card and electronic transactions

June 1, 2016

Dear Friends,

I'm writing to alert you to an upcoming training on protections for consumers related to fraudulent debit card and electronic transactions. The training will provide an overview of the federal Electronic Funds Transfer Act (EFTA). Consumers often have difficulty asserting their legal rights when they are victims of fraudulent debit card and electronic transfers, and this training will cover the key provisions and strategies for advocating on behalf of victims.

The training will take place on Wednesday, June 15, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Legal Services NYC, located at 40 Worth Street. Click here for the training flyer; click here to register.

Note that social workers, paralegals, and other case handlers who see these issues are encouraged to attend, even though this training is intended primarily for lawyers.

All the best,
Alex
