VOLS is proud to announce the hiring of Kristen Belolan as Supervising Attorney for the Microenterprise Project.
Prior to joining VOLS, Kristen founded and managed her own law firm dedicated to providing affordable transactional legal services to small business owners. She helped small business owners with a wide range of matters including commercial real estate, business formation, contracts, and buying and selling of businesses. Kristen has also worked as Corporate Counsel for a community-based healthcare organization, where she managed all legal affairs including HIPAA and other healthcare regulations, contracts, employment, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance. In addition to her years of law practice, Kristen has worked as an associate real estate broker in NYC and as a business development executive for legal tech and media companies.
Kristen received her B.A. from Georgetown University and her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School. She has called Brooklyn her home for over 20 years, and she is very proud to be part of the VOLS team.
