Christine Isaacs was a Pro Bono Scholar with our Unemployment Insurance Advocacy Project this past Spring. The Pro Bono Scholars Program (PBSP) allows students in their final year of law school to devote their last semester of study to performing pro bono service for the poor through an approved externship program, law school clinic, legal services provider, law firm or corporation.
“Christine Isaacs and Thuy-An Nguyen, the Pro Bono Scholars we had here at VOLS in the spring of 2017, were wonderful. The full-time placement at our agency for several months really allowed them to learn about our Unemployment and Microenterprise Projects (respectively), and they gave us and our clients a great deal of help. We are grateful to Judge Lippman for setting up this excellent program.” –Bill Lienhard, Executive Director
