I’ve just learned of a 3-day event in Harlem later this week that will be of interest to both NYC renters and homeowners.  The event, entitled “Demystifying Housing,” is sponsored by People Against Landlord Abuse & Tenant Exploitation and will feature legal clinics, round-table discussions, and breakout sessions on a variety of housing-rights issues.  And although the event’s focus is on housing, participants will be to meet with lawyers who specialize in other areas — such as labor and immigration — as well.

This free event will take place at 163 West 125th Street, 3rd Floor, from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm on June 28, 29, and 30.  RSVP is required, by calling (212) 491-2541, or by filling out the online RSVP form, which you can access by clicking here.
