Some of your clients, or their families, may be coming to you with concerns about recent ICE (Immigration & Customs Enforcement) raids that have been covered by the media lately.  The Legal Aid Society has a new immigration hotline, (844) 955-3425, which such people can call to obtain information and advice.  Calls will be forwarded to staff in The Legal Aid Society’s Community Justice Unit who will be answering questions and gathering information in order to assist people who may have had family members taken by ICE.

Legal Aid has also created a one-page flyer containing this hotline number and other information; click here for the English version; click here for the Spanish version.

People with immigration-related questions may also try calling the Legal Services NYC hotline at (917) 661-4500 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on business days.
