Elderly Project Director Peter Kempner has been invited to become a member of the Village View NORC Advisory Board. Village View, a Mitchel-Lama co-operative development on Manhattan’s Lower East Side, was officially recognized as a Naturally Occurring Retirement Community (NORC) in 2019 which is run in partnership with University Settlement through their older adults programs. They provide comprehensive social services to the over 900 residents of Village View, who are age 60 and over. The NORC was one of the sites of our monthly legal clinics prior to the pandemic. On March 19, 2021, Pete joined the Advisory Board’s first virtual meeting with representatives of over 15 other service providers and stakeholders from the community. We are honored to be included on the Advisory Board of this vibrant community program.
