There are over 2 million men, women and children incarcerated in the United States. As the Correctional Association of New York celebrates its 170th anniversary please join them in September for the latest installment of the “States of Denial” series at the Brooklyn Museum.
If you are interested in issues impacting incarcerated women and their children, you may be interested in attending the “States of Denial” series at the Brooklyn Museum sponsored by the Correctional Association of New York. Moderated discussions will examine violence and abuse in New York State prisons; incarcerated youth and the growing aging prison population; and the state of reproductive health care for women in prison, including the shackling of pregnant women. This series is free but please be sure to register in advance.
