Hello everyone!

I wanted to let you know that I started as the new Director of VOLS’ Unemployment Insurance Advocacy Project this week.

I look forward to working with our participating law firms, lawyers, law students, and other volunteers to provide pro bono representation to low-income New Yorkers seeking unemployment benefits.

In addition to my expertise in unemployment benefits, I have experience in a number of other employment-related areas, including discrimination based on disability, sex, gender, age, pregnancy, race and marital status in violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Americans with Disabilities Act and the New York State and City Human Rights Laws. I am eager to explore the possibility of expanding VOLS’ efforts for low-wage workers to include pro bono opportunities in these areas as well.
