I am writing to you let you know that the Long Term Care Community Coalition (“LTCCC”), a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving care and quality of life for residents in nursing homes and assisted living facilities, is providing free monthly educational programs for nursing home families and residents, and those who work with them. The goal of the programs is to help people understand some of the important new nursing home standards and how they can use those standards to improve care and quality of life for their residents.
This program is important now because the federal government is in the middle of implementing sweeping changes to the national nursing home standards. It is critical that residents and families and those who work with them have the information and tools they can use to ensure that their residents get the best care possible.
