I’m writing to report that the 2017 Benefits Checklist for Older Adults is now available; you can obtain your copy by clicking here.
The Checklist lists the major health and income programs potentially available to older adults in New York and defines the benefits provided, eligibility criteria, and income and resource limits. The Checklist also identifies the government agencies that process applications and provides contact information. Produced by the Sadin Institute on Law and Public Policy, the Checklist is updated annually.
I’ll also pass along an interesting fact sheet on SSI recently released by Justice in Aging, which you can access by clicking here. This sheet was created in response to threats to cut back on the SSI program that certain elected officials have made recently.
