Elisa M. Tustian is Director of the VOLS Senior Law Project, and a bilingual Spanish and English speaker. She started working with the VOLS Senior Law Project in 2021 and served as a Supervising Attorney before transitioning in April 2024 to Project Director. Just prior to joining VOLS, Elisa worked at Northeast New Jersey Legal Services as a multi-practicioner in the Senior Citizen Law Project covering consumer law, housing law and estates law. Elisa’s work as a student aide at the New York State Attorney General’s Office during undergrad and law school inspired her to become a Stein Scholar at Fordham Law School. She received the Archibald R. Murray Public Service Award cum laude upon graduating. After completing law school, Elisa worked in the Capital Markets group at the London Office of White & Case LLP. She qualified as a Solicitor of England and Wales in 2010 and is currently on the Roll but does not maintain a Practising Certificate for her current work. She received her received her J.D. from Fordham Law School and her B.A. from Columbia University. Elisa is currently admitted as an attorney in New Jersey and New York.
