Nela Abey holds a BA in Criminology from the University of Melbourne and an MA in Justice and Criminology from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology. During her graduate studies, she worked at the Bridge of Hope Innocence Initiative at RMIT, researching and investigating claims of wrongful conviction. Before joining VOLS she worked in policy and communications at the RCHN Community Health Foundation, and at the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom.
