Sofia Aslan joins VOLS as an Immigrant Justice Corps Community Fellow. Sofia graduated from Wesleyan University with a B.A. in the College of Social Studies and Hispanic Literatures and Cultures. She previously interned at Central American Legal Assistance in Brooklyn, NY, where she assisted the asylum applications of recently arrived immigrants and developed her skills as an interpreter, translator, and legal advocate. She is passionate about community engagement, immigration advocacy, and using language to enact social change.
