The Excluded Workers Fund was created by immigrants’ rights activists and the NY State Legislature to aid New Yorkers who were left out of state & federal unemployment relief programs.

How Much Will I Receive?
Depending on the amount of work documentation you are able to provide, you could qualify for either tier:
Tier 1 – $15,600 (minus taxes) OR Tier 2 – $3,200 (minus taxes)
YOU MAY BE ELIGIBLE IF YOU:
1. Lived in New York State before March 27, 2020 and continue to live in New York State
2. Are not eligible for and did not receive unemployment insurance, COVID-19 income relief, or other specific benefits from New York State or federal government
3. Earned less than $26,208 in the 12 months before April 2021
4. Lost income during the period from March 27, 2020 through April 1, 2021 because you became: unemployed, partially unemployed, or unable or unavailable to work due to COVID-19
5. Lost at least 50% of your weekly work income, or total household income, at any time between February 23, 2020 and April 2, 2021 for any of these reasons: losing your job; losing hours at your job; being unable to work because of illness from Covid-19; or becoming responsible for most of your household’s income due to the death or disability of the head of your household.
