The VOLS Elderly Project welcomes our newest Staff Attorney, Josias Carrion Rivera. Josias comes to VOLS with a wealth of great experience. After graduating law school, Josias clerked for the Puerto Rico Court of Appeals for three years. He then moved to New York City where he worked as a prosecuting attorney for the New York City Taxi and Limousine Commission, a Staff Attorney with The Legal Wellness Institute at the Family Center where he had a general civil legal services practice focused on clients with serious and terminal illness.
Most recently, Josias was a attorney with the Connors and Sullivan law firm. His practice there included litigating trust and estates matters, elder law, Medicaid planning, and the drafting and executing of life planning documents.
We are excited to have Josias join our team and we are looking forward to him meeting and engaging with all our community partners.
