On Tuesday, April 4, VOLS Legal Director and Senior Law Project Director Peter Kempner submitted testimony underscoring the impact of the digital divide on older New Yorkers and health concerns resulting from social isolation for older adults and veterans. He urged the City Council to continue to invest in services and programs that make New York City a place where veterans feel welcomed and at home. The many organizations and services that are supported by the Council’s Veterans Initiative, including the VOLS Veterans Initiative are critical to this shared goal.
